2 Samuel 2:6 May the Lord now show you kindness and faithfulness, and I too will show you the same favor because you have done this.

Evergreen is blessed with two salutatorians this year. Our first is Sam Bessler. Sam is a member at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard. Sam would like to leave Evergreen as a faithful example of a dedicated leader. As shown through his office of Presidency on the Student Council. The University of Wyoming is Sam’s next destination as he works his way to becoming an Air Force pilot. Scholarships awarded to him include the Western Undergraduate Exchange Scholarship at $10,485 renewable for four years, and a Type Two Air Force ROTC Scholarship up to $18,000 per year. The faculty and staff pray that Sam continues on God’s path and holds Him near in your travels.

John 14:15-17,  If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.

Our next salutatorian is Ben Schwartz, member at Christ the King Lutheran in Bremerton. Leaving Evergreen as a confident leader, Ben will be joining his sister at Martin Luther College. He will begin his studies to become a pastor. Bringing his love of disc golf with him, he strives to adapt to college life and make new friends by highlighting his exceptional disc golf skills. Ben is a recipient of the Messenger Scholarship from Martin Luther College for $2000. As you move to the next stage of life be faithful in your studies and continue to development into a confident Christian leader.

Rev 2:10b Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you life as your victor’s crown.
