Cheer squad

Dear Parents and Future Cheerleaders,

New things are coming to the cheerleading squad at Evergreen Lutheran High School! After 2 great years, Angel Hagedorn will no longer be serving as the head cheerleading coach. I am very blessed that Evergreen has offered the position to me and am looking forward to joining the Evergreen family. I wanted to send you a quick note to tell you more about me and hope to gain your interest in the cheerleading program at Evergreen.

I am new to the Tacoma area, having moved in April 2014 from Phoenix, AZ. After starting the program, I was the head cheerleading coach at Arizona Lutheran Academy for 5 years. I had the opportunity to watch the program grow from 3 cheerleaders in its first season to a 3-time State Qualifying squad. I am very blessed to have been a part of the program and looking forward to joining the Evergreen family.

The Evergreen cheerleading squad has moved more to a game-time squad over the past couple of years. I would like to continue the school spirit and game-time activities but I would like to have the squad compete as well. We may not be prepared this year, but definitely in 2016-17, we will have a competition squad! I’m very excited about this and hope you are too.

While the cheerleading season will not officially start until August, I would like to bring any interested girls together for a couple days this summer for a mini camp. This will allow myself and the cheerleaders to get to know each other and prepare for the school year. All girls interested in cheerleading, fall and winter season, are welcome to join our camp days. This will be added to the school calendar so please stay tuned.

In the meantime, I will be available to answer any questions that may arise during the summer and into the fall season. You will find my contact information below.

I’m looking forward to joining the Evergreen family and thank you for the continued support for the cheerleading program.
