A private university preparatory school; grades 9-12.
Evergreen Lutheran High School is recognized by the Washington State Department of Education and holds national accreditation through Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod School Accreditation (WELSSA). WELSSA works with the National Council for Private School Accreditation (NCPSA).
English as a Second Language (ESL) courses are offered and available for international students.
Evergreen Lutheran can arrange home-stay for students in grades 9-12. International students can choose to find their own housing or can take advantage of our network of homes available through Evergreen Lutheran. We find that living with a family can have many advantages for international students as they benefit from the first hand language immersion and American culture experiences.
Students are encouraged to participate in activities outside the classroom whether leadership, service, drama, music, and athletics.
International students at Evergreen Lutheran experience a broad interaction of cultures in daily life and through organized programming. Many students have the chance to live in the same home with a student from America or may be paired with a roommate from a different country or continent.
Designed cultural experiences and a cross-cultural mentoring program enable international students to find success inside and outside of the classroom. International students also have opportunities to share their own cultural background by presenting to school groups and showing friends the unique and interesting aspects of life at home.
